FitFam and Gratitude

I am writing this on Christmas morning as I’m sipping coffee and surveying the wrapping paper carnage strewn across the floor. The tree lights sparkle off the ribbons and bows. Chuck Berry is playing Run Rudolph Run in the background. And I’m thinking of all the things I’m grateful for.

One of the first things on that list is my FitFam at Eximo.

Eximo is more than a gym. It’s a community. That community provides:

Entertainment – there is no shit-talking quite like that of a group of people who regularly sweat together. (And anything said at 5am class should take a cue from Vegas and stay at 5am.)

Encouragement – there’s shit-talking, yes, but there’s always way more encouragement. For every bit of trash talk there’s twice that in encouragement and support.

Family – Eximo gives me a family I can count on. People who will check in on you during bad weather, who bring you food when you’re sick, who celebrate your wins, and console your losses.

Eximo is home away from home, and I, for one, am very much looking forward to a CrossFit-glorious 2023 with my FitFam.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to clean up.

Merry everything, and happy always,

Meghan
