What is your occupation?

Underwriting Consultant for Mass Mutual Life Insurance 

When did you join Eximo?

End of May 2018 if I’m remembering that right.

Why did you decide to try Eximo?

I desperately needed accountability to workout. My want to was there, I just couldn’t stay consistent. And I picked the closest exercise facility to my house (old location) so that I’d have the least amount of excuses about showing up.

What changes have you seen since joining Eximo?

I love the renewed functionality of my body/fitness. Carry a 35# kid through Disney, a 44# backpack through NYC, get in/out of my attic with a muscle up…no problem!

What other types of sports or activities do you like to do outside of the gym? Past and/or present.

Fun fact, I used to be a Pilates instructor in my 20’s and have always loved yoga. And I love running though recently I can’t seem to stay consistent enough with that (damn the southern heat).

What is your favorite movement?

I think my favorite is power cleans with deadlifts a close second.

What is your least favorite movement?

Oh man I have a LIST! The bike wins, it’s the worst! Closely followed by burpees of any variety.

What has been your most memorable experience at Eximo?

I love all the laughs! Like the time I slid down the wall from a wall walk like a frog because I couldn’t walk back down. Or the time my hair clip broke in yoga during a back bend and it sounded like a bone snapped. Or discussing twerk don’t strip in regards to deadlifts. 

What is your favorite cheat meal?

Currently it’s Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream 🤦🏻‍♀️ 

Who or what inspires you?

All the Eximo mommas … Kim, Jessica, Jacobi, Onnie, Kathy, Meagan, too many to name! We all juggle so much as mothers and I tell myself all the time, “if she can do it, I can at least show up and give it a shot.”

What is something people would be surprised to know about you?

Hmmm, I don’t know. Y’all know I’m originally from Louisiana and have a really thick Cajun accent? Or that I’m a voracious reader (like 3-5 books/week)? Or that you can keep your beer/wine and just hand me a double scotch neat?

What is one goal you would like to accomplish through Eximo?

I’m really working on consistency right now. Just wake up and show up, and keep showing up, no matter what curve balls life throws at me. Oh and I should probably make it a goal to cut back on the ice cream 😉


A big CONGRATS to our very own Fit Fam members on their hard work! Competitions always push us out of our comfort zones, completely exposing our strengths and weaknesses, and they are a great tool to facilitate personal growth. Regardless where our athletes stood on the podium, they all came out of the competition with an unforgettable experience. We are so proud of you all!

Let’s be real. We all know what’s about to go down. Foods (and beverages) will be served. Foods will be eaten. Bellies will be full and so will the guilt. Join us Thanksgiving morning for a proactive approach to preparing for the upcoming feast. Dress comfy, bring your running shoes, and we will take care of the rest!
